Setting Up Web Hosting

You will need a web host.  A web host rents you webspace to which you can upload your blog and then the content for your blog.

The web host we recommend and have used for a number of years is Hostgator.

We only ever recommend services that we use and our reasons for recommending Hostgator are:

  • Reliability – less than 0.1% downtime – very important if you want to be taken seriously online
  • Ease of Use – enough said
  • Cost – With packages for one domain name starting at $4.95 per month why would you have a free web host showing adverts everywhere or run the risk of having your website disappearing if they go out of business?
