The next thing you need to do is edit your settings in WordPress and get your blog ready to receive content.
The list below, with screenshots, is a list of the default settings you need to change:
(there is also a video at the end showing these being done)
1. Delete the “Hello World” post.
2. Delete the “About” page.

3. Change default “Category” to your keywords
5. In Settings – General – edit your blog title to reflect your main keywords and same for the tagline.
6. In Settings – Writing – add your list of sites to ping when you make a post. You can get our recommended list by sending a blank email to: wcwpinglist AT aweber.com (replacing AT with @ and removing the spaces)
7. In Settings – Reading – Make sure “your latest posts” is selected
Select “An administrator must always approve the comment”
9. In Settings – Privacy – ensure “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers”, is selected
10. In Settings – Permalinks – Select custom and enter: /%postname%/
